Alhaji Sadiq Abubakar Adamu is an Independent Non-Executive Director of C & I Leasing PLC. He previously served as General Counsel and Executive Director of several ExxonMobil Holdings Corporation (“ExxonMobil”) affiliates in Nigeria, including Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited, and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Offshore East) Limited.
During his career with ExxonMobil, he held various legal and executive roles across the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, and Iraq. He was also a member of the pioneer project team for the development of Qatargas Limited (now QatarEnergy LNG Limited) and RasGas Company Limited. His experience spans legal, commercial, and regulatory matters relating to upstream petroleum operations, corporate financing, deepwater developments, production-sharing contracts, corporate governance, and government relations
Alhaji Adamu is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and has also served as a Director of the Lagos Court of International Arbitration.
