Mr. Okonkwo is the Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank PLC.
Prior to this appointment, he was the Executive Director, Corporate Banking and Treasury business, where he was responsible for rebuilding the business and strategically positioning Union Bank PLC for success in the Corporate Banking space. He was also formerly the Executive Director, Commercial Banking and Global Subsidiaries, Union Bank PLC. He previously worked in Citibank as the Head of the Corporate and Investment Banking Division, Citibank Bangladesh.
He represents Financial Market Active Banks on the Board of FMDQ Exchange.
